Peter Gilbert

Peter Gilbert received his M.A. in literature from the University of New Hampshire, his M.F.A. in writing from Cornell University, and his B.A. in literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before joining UCSD’s Analytical Writing Program, Peter taught at Cornell University, City University of New York, and Harvard University. He is interested in the ways that political ideologies and policies underwrite social and economic inequality. In particular, he is interested in neoliberal forms of governance and subjectivity, as well as how these dynamics are represented in late 20th and 21st century film, literature, and journalism.
