Sarah Powers
Sarah Powers received her M.A. in English Composition and Post-Secondary Reading from San Francisco State University, and her B.S. in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English from Northern Michigan University. Before joining UCSD’s Analytical Writing Program, she taught at various community colleges in San Diego and the Bay Area, and worked as a lecturer in the Writing in the Disciplines program at UC Davis. Her research interests include educational equity, the impact of school resegregation on inequality and access to higher education, connections between physical education and academic achievement, and writing across the curriculum/writing in the disciplines.
