Paulina M. Gonzales earned her Ph.D. in Literature from UC San Diego, her M.A. in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College, and her B.A. in English and Spanish from the University of San Diego. In addition to teaching in the Analytical Writing Program, Dr. Gonzales also serves as the program’s Curriculum Coordinator, assisting in the development of AWP curriculum and syllabi. Before joining UCSD’s Analytical Writing Program, Dr. Gonzales taught in the Warren College Writing Program and the Department of Literature. While an undergraduate at the University of San Diego, she served as an undergraduate coordinator of the writing center, where she first developed her passion for the teaching of writing. In 2008, she received a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in Germany, giving her hands-on experience working with English language learners abroad.
